Elbe waterfront
The wide Elbe forms the southern boundary of the map. It is a large, calm shape that sets off the fine detail of the town's streets.

关于地图
Wedel Map Poster & Print
Wedel lies on the north bank of the Elbe, just beyond Hamburg's western city limits, where the river widens on its way to the North Sea. On a map the Elbe dominates the southern edge of the frame. Its broad channel and shoreline contrast sharply with the grid of residential streets to the north.
The town is known for Willkomm-Höft, a ship greeting station at the Schulauer Fährhaus that salutes passing ocean vessels with their national anthem. Wedel is also the birthplace of the sculptor Ernst Barlach, and a Roland statue stands in its old market square.
A Wedel map poster shows a town that faces the water. The marina and waterfront sit along the river, the old centre is set back a little, and the streets reach inland toward the countryside of Schleswig-Holstein. The river gives the composition a strong horizontal base.

Marina
A large harbour basin on the riverbank appears as a clean geometric cutout, with piers and breakwaters drawn in precise lines.
Residential grid
North of the river, residential streets spread in a mix of straight roads and curving estates, with the historic centre near the middle.

为什么选 Wedel
一张有意义的地图
Wedel means ship-watching, river walks and a home within reach of Hamburg. For anyone who lives there or has greeted ships at Willkomm-Höft, a map of the town and its stretch of the Elbe is a personal piece for the wall.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the maritime setting well. Download six HD sizes for $9, or order a matte print, framed if you like.
