Wide street grid
The town is laid out as a grid of broad roads and large blocks. The spacing is generous, so the pattern stays clear even at small scales.

关于地图
Xigang Map Poster & Print
Xigang lies in Ningxia on the broad plain around Yinchuan, the regional capital. This is irrigated country, watered for centuries by channels drawn from the Yellow River, which runs further to the east. On a map, the built-up area is a regular grid of wide roads and large blocks, typical of recent urban growth in northern China.
To the west, the Helan Mountains rise abruptly from the plain and form a long, straight barrier against the desert beyond. The flat land between town and mountains is crossed by canals and field boundaries, which give the surrounding map a fine, ordered texture.
A Xigang map poster frames a place where planned streets meet an old agricultural landscape. The straight avenues, the irrigation network and the open ground toward the mountains make a clean, geometric composition that suits minimalist black and white.

Irrigation channels
Canals fed by Yellow River water cross the surrounding plain. They cut the land into long, regular fields and give the map a fine linear texture.
Toward the Helan range
West of town, the land runs flat toward the Helan Mountains. The range sets a firm natural edge to the whole Yinchuan plain.
