Basin grid
The city centre sits in a comparatively flat basin, which allows a regular, modern street grid. It contrasts sharply with the irregular karst terrain around it.

关于地图
Xingyi Map Poster & Print
Xingyi is the seat of Qianxinan, the Buyei and Miao autonomous prefecture in the south-west of Guizhou, close to the borders with Yunnan and Guangxi. The city occupies a relatively open basin on the karst plateau. From above, its streets form a compact modern grid, surrounded by farmland and the scattered cones of limestone hills that define the region.
Those hills are the reason many visitors come. Wanfenglin, the so-called forest of ten thousand peaks, lies just outside the city, where hundreds of rounded limestone summits rise from flat fields. On a map the terrain shows as an irregular pattern of gaps between winding roads. That texture is quite unlike the regular blocks of the centre.
Nearby, the Maling River has cut a narrow canyon into the plateau, with waterfalls pouring over its walls. A Xingyi map poster places the city at the heart of this landscape. It shows orderly streets in the basin, broken, winding tracks at the edges and the sense of much wilder country beyond the frame.

Wanfenglin peaks
Just beyond the city, the peak forest forms a dense cluster of limestone cones. Roads and field tracks thread between the hills in soft, looping lines.
Maling River Canyon
A deep, narrow gorge cut into the plateau near the city. On the map it appears as a thin, winding line that the surrounding roads must bridge or route around.

为什么选 Xingyi
一张有意义的地图
This print suits travellers who have walked among the peaks of Wanfenglin and people from Qianxinan who want a reminder of home. The contrast between a neat urban grid and the karst terrain around it gives the map real visual depth.
Customise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, then choose one of five styles. Sand and Paper soften the limestone country into warm tones, while Classic black and white, Noir and Blueprint make the street grid feel sharper and more graphic.
