Microdistrict grid
Housing is grouped into large planned blocks with internal courtyards and access lanes, a repeating pattern that gives the centre of the map its regular rhythm.

关于地图
Zhanaozen Map Poster & Print
Zhanaozen was built from scratch in the late 1960s to serve the Uzen oil field, and the plan still shows it. From above you see regular residential blocks, broad straight avenues and numbered microdistricts arranged with Soviet-era discipline. There is no river and no old core. Instead the town ends abruptly at the edge of the dry plateau that covers most of Mangystau.
Oil explains the rest of the map as well. Service roads and pipeline corridors run out from the town toward the fields, and industrial yards sit apart from the housing. The layout reflects a single purpose: housing the workers who extract crude from one of Kazakhstan's major deposits, far from the country's larger cities.
A Zhanaozen map poster has an almost architectural quality. The repeated rectangles of the microdistricts, the wide straight roads and the blank steppe around them make an arrangement that reads like a technical drawing. That is why the Blueprint style suits it. For anyone who grew up in these blocks, the plan is instantly familiar.

Straight wide avenues
Main roads are long, straight and generously spaced, dividing the town into clear sectors and leading out toward the oil field and the regional highway.
Desert boundary
The town has no suburbs that fade out slowly. The street network stops sharply at the steppe, and the surrounding white space is part of the composition.

为什么选 Zhanaozen
一张有意义的地图
Many families moved here to work the oil fields, and a map of Zhanaozen is a way to keep that place close after moving on. Its clean planned geometry also looks good in a modern interior, even to someone who has never been there.
Personalise the poster with a title, a subtitle such as a family name or the year you arrived, and a coordinates line. It comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
