Al Qubbah Map Poster & Print
Al Qubbah lies on the Jebel Akhdar, the Green Mountain, a limestone plateau in eastern Libya that receives more rain than most of the country. The town sits on the road between Derna and Bayda. Its map shows a compact grid of streets around the main road, surrounded by fields, orchards and patches of scrub.
The plateau is cut by wadis that run north towards the Mediterranean coast, creating deep, winding valleys in the landscape. Farming has long been important here, and the pattern of plots and tracks around the town reflects that. The region is also home to many ancient sites from its Greek and Roman past.
An Al Qubbah map poster shows a town in an unusual Libyan landscape, green instead of desert. In monochrome, the town's streets form a tidy cluster, the main road runs across the plateau in a steady line, and the wadis carve irregular shapes around it, a composition that is quiet but distinct.

Jebel Akhdar
The surrounding upland is the Green Mountain, one of the wettest areas of Libya. Its fields and orchards form a fine, even texture around the town.
Wadi valleys
Wadis cut into the plateau and wind north towards the sea. Their deep, curving courses add strong natural lines to the edges of the composition.
