Bengawan Solo
The great river loops past Babat in wide curves. It is the most expressive line on the poster, especially in Blueprint or Noir, where the water stands out against the land.

Babat Map Poster & Print
Babat is a town in Lamongan Regency in East Java, on the lowland plain where the Bengawan Solo, Java's longest river, winds toward the sea. The river curves past the town, and its broad meanders are among the strongest features on the map. Streets gather into a dense centre at the crossroads.
Babat is a junction town. Roads from Lamongan, Bojonegoro, Tuban and Jombang meet here, and a railway line passes through with its own station. On a map these routes converge on the centre from several directions. Around them, the flat land is filled with rice fields, their boundaries forming a delicate grid.
Across Indonesia, the name is best known from wingko babat, a baked coconut cake associated with the town and sold far beyond East Java. A Babat map poster shows the river, the crossroads and the rice plain, which together shaped this town.

Crossroads town
Several regional roads meet in Babat's centre. They converge from different directions to form a star-like pattern around the busiest streets.
Rice plain
Paddy fields cover the flat land around the town. Their narrow dikes and paths create a fine grid texture that surrounds Babat on every side.
