Balaungi Map Poster & Print
Balaungi is a settlement in the Mohali district of Punjab, in northern India, on the edge of the Chandigarh urban area. It began as a village and has grown rapidly as the tricity region has expanded, becoming a densely built residential area close to the city.
The map shows two different ways of building a city side by side. On one side lies the rigid, planned sector grid of Chandigarh and Mohali, with its broad roads and uniform blocks. On the other, Balaungi's streets are narrower and more irregular, reflecting growth from an old village core rather than a master plan.
A Balaungi map poster makes that contrast its subject. The tight organic pattern of lanes pressed against the straight lines of the planned city creates a strong and graphic composition, and it tells a real story about how the region has grown.
