Bandar Tun Razak is a planned town in the state of Pahang, named after Tun Abdul Razak, Malaysia's second prime minister and a son of Pahang. Like many settlements developed in the interior during the second half of the twentieth century, it was laid out deliberately rather than grown over centuries, and the plan shows it.
From above, the township appears as a tidy arrangement of residential streets, shop rows and public buildings, set within a much larger landscape of agricultural estates. The surrounding land is threaded with long, straight or gently curving estate roads, and the edge between town and plantation is clear and sharp.
