Mbomou River
The broad Mbomou runs along the south of the town and marks the international border. On the poster it is the largest single shape, a sweeping band of open water.

Bangassou Map Poster & Print
Bangassou is the main town of the Mbomou prefecture in the southeast of the Central African Republic. It sits on the northern bank of the Mbomou River, which here forms the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo. From above, the river is the dominant feature: a broad band of water with the town strung along its edge.
The town takes its name from a line of sultans who ruled the area before and during the colonial period, and the old sultanate is still part of local identity. Streets run back from the riverbank in a loose grid, and a number of roads lead away towards the interior through forest and savanna.
A Bangassou map poster is shaped by the river. The wide water gives the composition a strong lower edge, the town's streets form a moderate grid along the bank, and the opposite shore adds a second, quieter outline. In Noir or Blueprint the river becomes a bold, calm field that frames everything around it.

Riverbank streets
Streets line up roughly parallel to the water and then run back inland. From above, the town looks like a loose grid unfolding from the riverbank.
Roads into the interior
A few long roads leave the town northward and eastward through forest and savanna. They are the main connections inland and trail off towards the edges of the map.

Bangassou is a place that stays with people, whether they were born there, served there with an organisation or worked along the river. A calm, accurate map can hold that connection without needing words.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a name, a date or a short phrase. Then choose from five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, to decide how much the river stands out.
