Compact town core
The central streets form a tight, fairly regular cluster, clearly separated from the land around it. In black and white it reads as one solid shape.

Bardsīr Map Poster & Print
Bardsīr lies on the high plateau of Kerman Province in southeastern Iran, a region of wide dry valleys framed by mountain ranges. From above, the town is a compact cluster of streets with a few main roads running out of it in different directions. Around the edge, cultivated plots and orchards show up as a finer grid before the open land takes over.
The area has long depended on careful use of water, which is common across the Iranian plateau. You can see it in the way farmland gathers close to the settlement. The town is a regional centre for the surrounding countryside, and the mountains to the south give it cooler weather than the lowland deserts further east.
A Bardsīr map poster works because of the contrast between density and space. The streets in the centre are tightly packed. The roads leaving town are long and nearly straight, and the plateau around them is left almost empty on the paper. It is a quiet, spare composition that reflects a place shaped by altitude and dry air.

Radiating main roads
A few main roads leave the centre and run long distances across the plateau. They create strong lines that give the composition direction and scale.
Farmland fringe
Around the edges, field and orchard boundaries add a fine texture. It sits between the dense town and the open plateau and softens the shift from one to the other.

Bardsīr means something specific to people from Kerman Province and to anyone who has family roots on the plateau. A poster of it is a clear reminder of home, and the minimal lines suit the openness of the landscape.
You can add a family name, a year or the town's coordinates in the title, subtitle and coordinates line. Pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand is a natural fit for the plateau's colours.
