Sahel coastline
The coast runs east of the town, a smooth line broken by small headlands, giving the map a clear boundary between land and sea.

Bekalta Map Poster & Print
Bekalta lies in the Monastir governorate, in Tunisia's Sahel region, a few kilometres inland from the Mediterranean. The map shows a compact town surrounded by olive groves, with roads leading toward the coast and neighbouring towns. Along the shoreline, the land ends in a gently curving coast with small headlands and beaches.
Near Bekalta, at Ras Dimass, lie the remains of ancient Thapsus, where Julius Caesar defeated his opponents in 46 BC. The Sahel is also one of Tunisia's great olive-growing regions, and the groves around the town form a steady, textured pattern across the landscape.
A Bekalta map poster brings together the dense town centre, the surrounding fields and the edge of the sea. The coastline offers a strong contrast with the land, and the simple road network gives the design structure. It suits anyone with ties to this part of the Tunisian coast.

Olive groves
Orchards cover much of the surrounding countryside, forming a quiet, patterned landscape that frames the compact urban area.
Thapsus site
The ancient city of Thapsus lies near the coast close to Bekalta, a reminder that this stretch of shore has been settled since Punic and Roman times.
