River confluence
The Kalitva joins the Seversky Donets here, and the meeting of the two rivers is the centrepiece of the map, splitting the town into distinct parts.

Belaya Kalitva Map Poster & Print
Belaya Kalitva lies in Rostov oblast in southern Russia, at the point where the Kalitva river flows into the Seversky Donets. From above, the rivers shape everything. The town is divided into parts on different banks, linked by bridges. The streets follow the curves of the water, and the open steppe spreads around the edges.
The town has long been an industrial centre, known above all for its large aluminium metallurgical plant. It also has older roots in the Don Cossack lands and the coal-mining history of the eastern Donbas region. Its setting on the Donets, with sandy banks and river meanders, gives it a greener look than the surrounding steppe.
A Belaya Kalitva map poster shows how a town grows around a river confluence. Two rivers wind through the composition, neighbourhoods sit in different bends, bridges link them, and the industrial areas stand as large, regular blocks. The meandering water gives the poster its main drawing, and the streets fill in around it.

Donets meanders
The larger river curves in wide loops through and around the town, giving the poster its softest and most striking lines.
Industrial zone
The metallurgical plant and related sites appear as large, rectangular footprints, a different, heavier texture from the residential streets.

Belaya Kalitva is a map for people who grew up by the Donets, for families of plant workers, and for those who moved away but still remember summers on the river. The water makes it a naturally beautiful composition.
Add a name, a Cyrillic title or a year to the title and subtitle, and choose the coordinates line. Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand each give the rivers a different feel.
