Two old cores
Bembla and Mnara each keep a compact centre of winding lanes. These form two darker knots on the map, linked by the road between them.

Bembla et Mnara Map Poster & Print
Bembla et Mnara is a municipality in the Monastir governorate of Tunisia, in the Sahel region along the country's eastern coast. As the name indicates, it combines two settlements, Bembla and Mnara, which lie close together on the gently rolling plain behind the coast. On a map they read as two related clusters rather than one continuous town.
Each centre has the tight, irregular street pattern typical of Sahel towns, with narrow lanes around a mosque and market. From these cores the housing extends outward in more regular blocks. Between and around the two settlements the land is given over to olive groves. The Sahel is one of Tunisia's main olive-growing areas, and in a drawing the groves appear as broad, quiet spaces crossed by field tracks.
A Bembla et Mnara map poster captures that double arrangement, two dense cores set in an open, agricultural landscape a short distance from the Mediterranean. The monochrome treatment emphasises the difference between the old lanes and the newer grid. The composition shows two cores rather than one.

Olive country
The municipality lies in the Tunisian Sahel, where olive groves cover much of the land. On the poster they appear as open space ruled by field boundaries.
Near Monastir
The coastal city of Monastir and the sea lie a short distance away. Roads leaving the townships head towards them across the plain.

For people from Bembla or Mnara, especially those living abroad, a map of both centres is a way to keep the two neighbourhoods and the groves between them in view. It is a restrained piece that suits a hallway or a study.
You can add your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps naming the quarter your family came from. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It is available as $9 digital files or as a printed poster with an optional frame.
