Junagarh Fort
The fort's walls and moat form a bold rectangular shape on flat ground, one of the clearest single landmarks on any Rajasthani city map.

Bikaner Map Poster & Print
Bikaner lies in the Thar Desert of northwest Rajasthan, and its map is defined by density against emptiness. The old walled city is a tight knot of narrow, winding lanes, while outside the walls the streets open up into wider roads and newer neighbourhoods that fade into sand and scrub.
Rao Bika founded the city in 1488, and just outside the old walls stands Junagarh Fort, built in the late sixteenth century. Unusually for Rajasthan, it sits on level ground rather than a hilltop, and from above its walls and moat form a strong, almost rectangular outline.
Bikaner is known for its camel breeding centre, its sandstone havelis and its sweet and savoury bhujia. A Bikaner map poster places the fort and the old city against the open desert, a composition that is both precise and austere.

Walled old city
Inside the historic walls, narrow lanes twist and branch into a dense pattern, very different from the straight roads of later districts.
Desert edge
Beyond the outer neighbourhoods the street network thins quickly, and the city gives way to the open land of the Thar Desert.

Bikaner is a strong choice for travellers who crossed Rajasthan or for families with roots in the Marwari community. Its fort and old city make a striking, balanced image even in a small frame.
