Dense centre
The town's core is a close-knit web of narrow streets, making a dark, textured area at the heart of the composition.

Bilqās Map Poster & Print
Bilqās is a town in Dakahlia Governorate in Egypt's Nile Delta, north of the governorate capital, Mansoura. The land here is entirely flat and intensely farmed. On a map, the town looks like a dense cluster of streets sitting in a wide, finely divided agricultural landscape.
The delta's irrigation system shapes everything around it. Canals and drains run in long straight or gently curving lines through the fields, often with roads following their banks. The town's own streets are tight and irregular at the centre and become more open toward the edges, where it meets the patchwork of farmland and neighbouring villages.
A Bilqās map poster captures the typical pattern of a delta town. It shows the compact core, the roads heading out to villages and the water lines that make the farmland possible. It is a quiet, detailed image of a place defined by agriculture and the Nile's water.

Irrigation lines
Canals and drains cross the surrounding fields in long lines and frame the town with the geometry of delta farming.
Village network
Rural roads head out from the town to smaller settlements, forming a web of connections across the flat Dakahlia countryside.

For people from Bilqās living in Cairo, the Gulf or further afield, a map of the town is a quiet link back home. It shows the streets and canals they know rather than a generic picture of Egypt.
You can add a title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps in memory of a family house or a special date. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
