Brooklin Map Poster
Brooklin is the northern community of Whitby, in Ontario's Durham Region, and its map works at two scales. At the centre is the old village, strung along Baldwin Street, with a short run of blocks on either side. Around it spread newer subdivisions of curving crescents and cul-de-sacs, set inside the larger grid of concession roads typical of rural southern Ontario.
Lynde Creek winds through the area, and its valley shows as a ribbon of green space and open land that the streets bend around. To the south runs Highway 407, a strong horizontal line. It separates Brooklin from the rest of Whitby and connects it with the wider Greater Toronto Area.
