Bukit Kerinchi Map Poster & Print
Bukit Kerinchi is a hill neighbourhood in the Pantai area of western Kuala Lumpur, between the Federal Highway corridor and the newer commercial district of Bangsar South. Its name recalls the Kerinci people, migrants from Sumatra who settled in the area in earlier times.
The terrain gives the neighbourhood its shape. Roads wind up and around the hill, flats and houses stepping along the slopes, while the flatter ground below is taken up by highways and larger developments. The Kerinchi station on the LRT Kelana Jaya Line serves the area.
A Bukit Kerinchi map poster shows the curving hill roads set against the straight lines of major transport routes. That contrast between organic streets and engineered corridors makes for a lively composition, one that captures a small part of the city with a distinct character.

Transport corridors
Major highways and the LRT line pass along the lower ground, their straight lines framing the winding residential streets.
Next to Bangsar South
The neighbourhood borders the office and residential towers of Bangsar South, so the map shows old and new city fabric side by side.

For people who live on the hill or once did, the map records a very specific corner of Kuala Lumpur, one that is changing quickly. It is a good way to keep a sense of place as the city around it grows.
