Moldova river
The river runs the full length of the town, with bridges crossing it at intervals. In print it forms the spine that the rest of the street network hangs from.

Câmpulung Moldovenesc Map Poster & Print
Câmpulung Moldovenesc lies in the Bukovina region of north-eastern Romania, in a valley of the Eastern Carpathians. The Moldova river flows through it, and the terrain forces the town into a long, narrow shape. Streets follow the valley floor, with the main road and the railway running beside the river, while side lanes climb short distances up the slopes on either side.
The mountains around it are forested. The Rarău massif, with its limestone crags, rises to the south, and hiking paths and hill roads lead up from town towards it. On a map this shows as a band of dense streets that thins quickly to scattered lines of farm tracks and forest roads.
The town is known for its wood culture. Its museum of wooden art holds a large collection of carved wooden spoons, gathered over decades. A Câmpulung Moldovenesc map poster shows how a whole community lined up along one river, with the mountains on both sides deciding where each street could go.

Valley corridor
The road and railway run parallel through the narrow valley floor. On the map they make a bundle of long lines, typical of Carpathian towns.
Slopes towards Rarău
South of the centre, lanes and tracks climb into forested hills towards the Rarău massif. The fine, sparse lines there contrast with the denser valley below.

For people from Bukovina, or travellers who came here on the way to Rarău and the painted monasteries, this map brings back a quiet mountain town. Its long valley shape looks elegant on a wall, especially in a tall portrait format.
