Cayey Map Poster & Print
Cayey lies in the mountainous centre of Puerto Rico, in a high valley surrounded by the ridges of the Sierra de Cayey. Its cooler, often misty climate has earned it the nickname Ciudad de las Brumas, the city of mists. On a map, the town's compact grid around the central plaza contrasts sharply with the curving mountain roads that surround it.
Highway 52, the main route between San Juan and Ponce, passes by the town, drawing a long, confident line through the hills. Elsewhere, smaller roads twist along ridges and valleys to rural barrios. One of these, in Guavate, is widely known for its roadside restaurants serving slow-roasted pork, a popular weekend destination for people across the island.
A Cayey map poster captures that meeting of town and mountain. The University of Puerto Rico at Cayey adds a campus to the urban fabric, while the surrounding green hills keep the whole composition framed by landscape.

The island's main north-south expressway passes Cayey, cutting a strong line through the mountains that contrasts with the twisting local roads.
Mountain roads
Narrow roads wind through the Sierra de Cayey toward rural barrios, creating an intricate pattern of curves that fills the edges of the poster.

Cayey means a great deal to people who grew up in its misty hills, studied at its university, or return for weekends in Guavate. Its map, with a tidy plaza grid set among twisting mountain roads, makes a memorable print.
You can edit the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps adding Ciudad de las Brumas as a subtitle, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the $9 HD files or order a printed, optionally framed poster.
