Crossing roads
The town's heaviest lines are where its main roads meet. Houses, yards and small businesses gather around these junctions, which gives the poster a clear centre of weight.

Cazombo Map Poster & Print
Cazombo is a modest town in Angola's Cuanza Norte region. From above it is loose and uneven. A few main roads carry most of the traffic, and they are lined with low plots and yards. Narrower tracks branch off them and quickly thin out into farmland and bush. It has none of the dense block pattern of a coastal city. The lines here are spaced out and look like they have been worn into the ground.
Towns of this size in Angola's interior usually grow along their roads rather than around a planned centre. The map shows this clearly. Buildings cluster where routes cross and then spread outward in strips. Beyond them the land is crossed by paths that link fields, water sources and nearby villages. Seen in monochrome, that scatter of lines makes a surprisingly detailed drawing.
A Cazombo map poster works best for people who know the place first-hand. That might be someone who grew up there, worked there for a season or has family in the area. The poster doesn't try to make the town into something grand. It shows the actual shape of the roads and paths as they sit on the land, in clean black lines with plenty of open space around them.

Thinning edges
Away from the centre the streets turn into tracks and footpaths that fray into open land. This gives the design a soft, feathered border instead of a hard city edge.
Open surroundings
Much of the frame is countryside. The large pale areas around the settlement show how small and compact the town is compared with the landscape around it.

People hang this map to keep a specific place close. It might be a childhood home, a posting abroad or a family origin that few others would recognise. The simple composition suits a quiet wall and still holds up well at larger print sizes.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or the year you arrived. There are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. It is available as a $9 set of HD digital files or as a printed poster.
