Planned avenues
The main streets run straight and wide through the centre, a direct trace of mid-century planning that gives the poster a strong, orderly backbone.

Charentsavan Map Poster & Print
Charentsavan was built in the years after the Second World War as an industrial town for the Kotayk region, and it carries the logic of Soviet planning in its streets. Wide avenues run in straight lines, apartment blocks stand in regular groups, and factory districts sit apart from the housing. The town takes its name from Yeghishe Charents, one of the most important Armenian poets of the twentieth century.
The setting is upland Armenia, on uneven ground between Yerevan and the town of Hrazdan, with mountains visible on the horizon. That terrain is felt in the map: where the ground rises or falls, a few streets bend to follow it, while the core keeps a disciplined, rectilinear plan. Roads leave the town toward the capital and toward the highlands around Lake Sevan.
A Charentsavan map poster captures a town designed on paper and then fitted to its landscape. The residential quarters appear as neat blocks of parallel buildings, the industrial areas as larger footprints, and the surrounding fields and slopes as open space. It is a clear, legible plan that suits the graphic language of a black and white print.

Residential blocks
Rows of apartment buildings arranged in parallel groups create a repeating pattern across the housing districts, one of the most characteristic textures of Soviet-era towns.
Upland setting
Open ground and uneven terrain around the town leave space at the edges of the map, framing Charentsavan as a compact settlement between Yerevan and Hrazdan.

Charentsavan is home to families with long ties to its factories, schools and courtyards, and to many Armenians abroad who remember it from childhood. A map of the town is a restrained way to keep that connection visible in a new home.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a family name or a year, and pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
