Ciudad Acuña Map Poster & Print
Ciudad Acuña lies on the southern bank of the Rio Grande in northern Coahuila, directly across the river from Del Rio, Texas. From above it is a wide, flat grid that grew outward from an older core near the water, with an international bridge linking the two cities. The river runs along its edge as a single winding line, a border drawn by nature rather than by survey.
Upstream, the Amistad Dam, built jointly by Mexico and the United States, holds back a large reservoir on the Rio Grande. The town grew steadily through manufacturing plants tied to cross-border trade, and newer neighbourhoods have filled the desert plain in long rectangular blocks. It is a place defined by the relationship between river, frontier and open country.
A Ciudad Acuña map poster shows how a border city looks when the line is a river: streets on one side, another grid on the other, and a thin band of water between them. In black and white the effect is quiet and nearly symmetrical, a reminder of how closely the two banks are tied together.

International bridge
A bridge carries traffic between Ciudad Acuña and Del Rio, a short but important crossing that ties the two street networks together across the water.
Desert grid
Beyond the centre, long straight blocks extend over the flat plain, creating an even texture that fades into open country at the city's outer edge.

Ciudad Acuña matters to families with ties on both sides of the border, to people who worked in its plants and to anyone who knows Lake Amistad. The map holds that shared geography in one simple frame.
