The confluence
The Seine and the Oise meet here in a broad fork. It is the central feature of the poster and the reason for the town's name.

Conflans-Sainte-Honorine Map Poster & Print
Conflans-Sainte-Honorine takes its name from its position at the confluence of the Seine and the Oise, just northwest of Paris. From above, the two rivers meet in a wide, clear Y. The old town rises up a slope on the northern bank, with narrow streets climbing toward the church and the heights above. Newer neighbourhoods spread across the plateau and along the riverbanks.
The town is known as the French capital of batellerie, inland river shipping. For generations the families who worked the barges lived and moored here, and péniches still line the quays. A museum dedicated to river shipping occupies the Château du Prieuré, and every June the town holds a national festival for boatmen.
A Conflans-Sainte-Honorine map poster is shaped by water above all. The meeting of the rivers dominates the sheet, the old town's streets curl up the slope, and the bridges and islands add detail at the centre. It makes an elegant image for anyone attached to the Seine valley or to the life of the barges.

Barge quays
Long quays along the Seine hold rows of moored barges. On the map they appear as a firm edge where the town meets the river.
Hillside old town
The historic streets climb the slope above the river toward the church and the plateau. Their winding lines contrast with the flat newer districts.

The map suits people who love rivers and working waterways, families with roots in the barging community, and residents who commute into Paris but feel at home on the quays. It gives a strong centre to a living room or hallway.
You can change the title and subtitle, perhaps to the name of a barge or a family, and edit the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Buy the HD files for $9 or order a matte printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
