Cordenons Map Poster & Print
Cordenons lies immediately northeast of Pordenone in Friuli Venezia Giulia, so closely joined that on a map the two built-up areas run into one another. The land here is the flat western Friulian plain, and the town's streets spread in a loose web from its historic centre, with long straight roads leading off across fields toward neighbouring villages.
The area sits along the line of resurgence springs, where water that has sunk into the gravel plain further north returns to the surface. These springs feed small streams and wetlands, some now protected as nature areas. To the north and east, the drier gravel expanses known as magredi, shaped by the Cellina and Meduna rivers, form one of the most distinctive landscapes in the region.
A Cordenons map poster reveals the contrast between town and plain: a dense centre, residential streets reaching toward Pordenone, and large stretches of field and river gravel where the pattern opens up. The fine lines of the spring streams add a subtle natural element to what is otherwise an orderly landscape of roads and farmland.

Joined to Pordenone
The western edge of the town merges with Pordenone, so the poster shows a continuous urban area that gradually loosens into the countryside.
Magredi plain
Toward the Cellina and Meduna rivers, the land becomes open gravel and dry grassland, leaving wide empty spaces on the map beyond the last streets.

Cordenons is a place people know through daily life: a home street, a school, a bike ride out toward the springs. Its map captures that everyday geography, with Pordenone at its side and the open plain beyond, in a restrained and balanced design.
