Cantonment grid
Wide roads, large plots and open grounds mark the military area. Its measured, spacious layout differs clearly from the denser town nearby.

Deolāli Map Poster & Print
Deolāli lies just south-east of Nashik in Maharashtra and is closely tied to its cantonment. From above, the map divides into two characters. The older town has a denser, irregular network of lanes around the railway and market. The cantonment has broad roads, generous plots, parade grounds and training areas set out in a looser and more deliberate plan.
The military presence goes back a long way. Under British rule, Deolali held a transit camp where soldiers waited, sometimes for months, to sail home. English slang took the phrase "going doolally" from that experience. Today the town is home to the Indian Army's School of Artillery, and much of the open land around it serves military use.
A Deolāli map poster makes that contrast easy to see. Tight streets sit beside wide, ordered grounds, and the railway line runs between them. For families with a service connection, or anyone who grew up in the cantonment, it records a place that is often a formative stop in a life on the move.

Railway line
The railway passes through town on its way towards Nashik Road. It is a firm linear feature that helps organise the map between old town and cantonment.
Open ranges
Beyond the built-up area, large stretches of open land surround the town. On the map they appear as calm, empty space that frames the streets.

Army families often move from posting to posting, and Deolāli is a name many of them remember. A map of the cantonment makes a thoughtful gift for a retirement, a reunion or a first home after service.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can carry a regiment, a posting year or a family name. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Paper gives a softer, archival feel.
