Wainganga River
The river runs past the town in a wide bed, and its braided channels and sandbanks create one of the most distinctive shapes on the map.

Desāīganj Map Poster & Print
Desāīganj, widely known as Wadsa, lies in Gadchiroli district in the far east of Maharashtra, on the western side of the Wainganga River. The river is broad here, and on a map it forms a strong edge along one side of town, with sandbanks and channels shifting across its bed.
The town grew as a railway settlement, and the line running through it gives the plan its main axis. Streets lie on either side of the tracks, with markets and residential lanes spreading outward. Beyond the built-up area, rice fields give way to the forested country that covers much of Gadchiroli district.
A Desāīganj map poster brings together three clear elements: a wide river, a straight railway line, and the compact town between them. The simplicity suits a black-and-white print well, where the Wainganga's broad form and the long line of the railway stand out against the surrounding fields.

Railway axis
The rail line cuts through Desāīganj in a steady straight line, organising the town into two sides and serving as its main reference point.
Forest margins
Around the town, cultivated fields give way to the wooded landscape typical of Gadchiroli, adding texture toward the edges of the print.

For anyone who grew up in Wadsa or passed through it on the railway, the map records a very particular geography of river and track. It works well in a study or living room as a reminder of the Wainganga country.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with Wadsa as the subtitle, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 download includes six sizes as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF.
