Dhūri Map Poster & Print
Dhūri lies in Sangrur district, in the middle of the Malwa plain. The land here is so flat that the map has no contours to organise it. Instead, the rail lines and roads provide the structure. Dhūri is a railway junction, and the tracks crossing the town divide it into distinct sectors, each with its own grain of lanes.
Close to the tracks, the older market streets are tight and irregular. Further out, newer residential colonies appear in more regular rectangles. Beyond them lies the Punjab countryside: long straight field boundaries, irrigation channels and village roads running in near-parallel lines towards neighbouring settlements. In black and white, those fields form a fine, even texture.
A Dhūri map poster works well because of this contrast. The dense knot of streets at the centre sits inside a broad, orderly agricultural pattern, and the railway lines run through both. The design is simple and balanced, and it reads clearly from across a room.

Old market core
Close to the station, the lanes are narrow and crowded together. This dense cluster anchors the centre of the composition.
Malwa field pattern
Around the town, straight field edges and canal lines create a regular texture that frames the built-up area on every side.

Dhūri is a place many people carry with them after moving to Chandigarh, Canada or the UK. A map of their home town is a personal link to the plain, the station and the streets they grew up on, and it looks clean on a modern wall.
You can personalise the title, the subtitle and the coordinates line, and choose from five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD files are a $9 download in six print sizes. Printed posters ship from print partners in more than 30 countries.
