Palm groves
Irrigated date plantations lie close to the town as geometric plots, divided by paths and channels that give them a finely ruled texture on the map.

Djamaa Map Poster & Print
Djamaa lies in the Oued Righ, a chain of oases stretching across the northern Sahara in southeastern Algeria. From above the contrast is striking. A compact town sits beside large blocks of palm groves, with flat desert all around. Irrigation has shaped the land here as much as the streets have.
The Oued Righ is known for its date palms, including the prized Deglet Nour variety, and date growing remains central to local life. Since 2019 the town has been part of the province of El Mghair, one of Algeria's newer administrative divisions in the south.
A Djamaa map poster makes the most of that relationship. The palm groves appear as ordered plots and paths beside the town, the streets form a practical grid, and the empty desert gives the composition a stillness few other places can offer.

Town grid
The built-up area follows a mostly regular layout with streets crossing at right angles, reflecting practical, planned growth in a flat setting.
Desert margins
Beyond the oasis, the land is almost empty. On paper that leaves broad blank margins that heighten the contrast between cultivation and sand.

For people from the Oued Righ, and for anyone who has travelled through the Algerian Sahara, a map of Djamaa is a reminder of oasis life: palms, water and a town held between them. It makes a calm, unusual piece for any room.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can be personalised, and the five styles include Sand, which suits a desert landscape well. The $9 HD download covers six sizes, and printed posters are available with an optional wooden frame.
