Drunen Map Poster & Print
Drunen lies in North Brabant, just west of 's-Hertogenbosch, in the municipality of Heusden. On the north side of the map, the landscape is typical Dutch lowland: flat fields, drainage ditches and straight roads heading toward the Maas. The town's streets form a compact centre with residential neighbourhoods laid out in tidy, planned blocks around it.
To the south the scene changes completely. The Loonse en Drunense Duinen is a national park of shifting sand dunes and woodland, one of the largest areas of drift sand in Western Europe. On a map it appears as a large open space bordered by forest paths, a striking blank beside the dense town.
This contrast between orderly streets and wild sand gives Drunen a particular character. A Drunen map poster places the two side by side, a Brabant town on one side and an almost desert-like landscape on the other.

Polder landscape
North of Drunen, flat farmland is divided by straight ditches and roads, creating a quiet geometric pattern typical of the Dutch lowlands.
Planned neighbourhoods
Residential streets around the centre follow orderly, carefully planned layouts, a clean and regular texture on the printed map.

People who walk or cycle in the dunes every weekend, and those who grew up in Drunen, will know this edge between town and sand well. As a poster it is both a map of home and an unusual landscape image.
Choose a style, perhaps Sand for the dunes or Blueprint for a cooler look, and set your own title and coordinates. HD files are $9, or order a matte print shipped from within Europe.
