PA-150 highway
The highway runs through the town as its main axis. It is the strongest line on the poster and the route along which the settlement first grew.

Eldorado dos Carajás Map Poster & Print
Eldorado dos Carajás is a municipality in southeastern Pará, in a region shaped by road building, cattle ranching and large-scale mining in the nearby Carajás mountains. The town grew along the PA-150 highway. That origin is clear on the map: a long main road forms the spine, and a grid of streets has been added on either side.
The town is widely known for the events of 17 April 1996. That day, military police killed nineteen landless rural workers who were blocking the highway during a protest march. The date is now observed internationally as a day of peasant struggle. In Brazil it remains a central reference in debates about land and agrarian reform.
An Eldorado dos Carajás map poster shows a place defined by its road and by the open land around it. The straight highway, the regular blocks beside it and the tracks running out into pasture and forest remnants make a spare, direct composition. For people from the region, it records a place with a significant and difficult history.

Roadside grid
Regular blocks of streets extend from both sides of the highway. This is typical of Amazon frontier towns planned quickly as roads opened up the interior.
Open surroundings
Beyond the town the map opens into ranchland and scattered tracks. The wide empty areas emphasise how the settlement is strung along its road.

People from southeastern Pará hang this map as a link to home. Others choose it as a considered, quiet reference to the town's place in Brazil's history of land and rights. The simple road-and-grid form works well on a large print.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, and five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The $9 digital set covers six print sizes, or order a printed poster on matte paper.
