Canal-drawn fields
Irrigation channels divide the surrounding plain into long rectangular plots. They give the outskirts a regular, almost surveyed pattern that contrasts sharply with the dense town streets.

Fort Abbas Map Poster & Print
Fort Abbas lies in Bahawalnagar District in the south of Pakistani Punjab, close to the border with India and at the edge of the Cholistan desert. From above, the town is a tight knot of streets and lanes inside a much larger pattern of farmland. Irrigation channels and field boundaries run in long, almost ruler-straight lines toward the horizon.
That contrast gives the map its character. The built-up core is dense and irregular, with lanes packed around the market streets. The land beyond is organised by water: canals and distributaries cut the plain into rectangles, and roads follow their banks out to the villages. Further south and east the lines thin out, as cultivated land gives way to sand.
A Fort Abbas map poster keeps that change in view: the concentrated town, the ordered geometry of canal country and the quieter spaces where the desert begins. In fine black lines on a pale ground, it becomes a study of how people have settled at the margin of dry land. It suits anyone with family roots or working memories in this corner of Punjab.

Desert margin
To the south the Cholistan desert comes close. On the map the network of roads and channels grows sparse there, leaving wide open areas around the settled land.
Compact town core
The centre is a tight cluster of lanes and market streets, drawn as a dark, closely woven mass in the middle of the lighter farmland around it.

For people from Fort Abbas, or those whose families farmed the canal lands around it, this map is a quiet reminder of home: the familiar streets at the centre and the fields stretching away. It also works as a graphic piece, with its strong contrast between dense and open space.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a family name or a date that matters. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, which echoes the desert edge. Order the HD digital files for $9 or a printed poster.
