Gyeongpo Lake
A shallow lagoon lies just inland from Gyeongpo Beach, its rounded outline separated from the sea by a narrow sandbar. On paper it forms the most recognisable shape in the city.

Gangneung Map Poster & Print
Gangneung lies on the east coast of South Korea, on a narrow strip of lowland between the steep Taebaek range and the sea. The city centre spreads along the Namdaecheon stream. To the north-east the shoreline curves around Gyeongpo, where a shallow lagoon lake sits just behind the beach, separated from open water by a slim bar of sand.
The city hosted the ice events of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, and the arenas built for them still stand out as a distinct group of large footprints on the map. Gangneung is also known for its Danoje festival, recognised by UNESCO, and for Ojukheon, the historic house associated with Shin Saimdang and the scholar Yulgok.
A Gangneung map poster balances city and landscape. The dense grid of the centre gives way to rice fields, pine-covered hills and the sweeping line of the coast. Gyeongpo Lake adds a smooth, rounded shape near the sea. In monochrome the composition feels calm and spacious, with plenty of room between the mountains and the water.

Namdaecheon stream
The stream runs through the heart of Gangneung towards the sea. Its gentle curve divides the older centre and gives the urban grid a natural spine.
Olympic Park cluster
The venues built for the 2018 Winter Games sit together on the edge of the city. Their large rounded and rectangular buildings read clearly against the finer residential blocks.

Gangneung appeals to people who remember a sunrise on the east coast, an Olympic trip in 2018 or a slower life by the sea and mountains. With its lake, beach and hills, the map suits bright rooms and larger formats.
You can write your own title and subtitle, add a date and edit the coordinates line. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Buy the $9 digital bundle in six sizes, or order a matte printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
