Gorai Creek
The creek separates Gorai from Borivali and is edged with mangroves. On the poster its winding channels and marshy banks form a detailed, organic border.

Gorai Map Poster
Gorai sits at the northwestern end of Mumbai, beyond Borivali, on a strip of land between Gorai Creek and the Arabian Sea. Although it lies inside the metropolitan region, it feels far from the dense city. Village houses, fishing settlements and open land take the place of tower blocks.
On the map, water surrounds the area. The creek winds inland, bordered by wide mangrove stands. For many years the most familiar way across has been the ferry from Borivali. On the western side, Gorai Beach runs along the open sea. The Global Vipassana Pagoda, a large golden meditation hall, stands nearby on the peninsula.
A Gorai map poster shows a side of Mumbai that most visitors never see. Instead of street grids, there are creeks, marshland and coastline, with a thin network of village lanes between them. It is a strong composition for anyone who knows the ferry crossing or the weekend trips to the beach.

The open beach
Gorai Beach stretches along the Arabian Sea on the western side. Its straight shoreline contrasts clearly with the tangled creek behind.
Vipassana Pagoda
The Global Vipassana Pagoda stands on the peninsula. It is one of the largest structures of its kind, and it gives the area an unexpected landmark.

Gorai is where many Mumbaikars go to leave the city without really leaving it. A map of the creek, the beach and the village lanes recalls those crossings and slower days by the sea.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a family name or a memorable date, and change the coordinates line. Blueprint suits the water-heavy map, and Classic black & white, Noir, Paper and Sand are also available.
