Greenfield Park is on the South Shore of the St. Lawrence, across the river from Montreal. It was a separate municipality until the 2002 municipal mergers and is now a borough of Longueuil. Its map is plainly suburban: mostly residential streets set in a regular pattern, broken up by a few larger arterial roads.
From above, the neighbourhood has an orderly geometry. Residential blocks line up in neat rows, some straight and some gently curved, and small parks and school grounds appear as pale rectangles among them. Busier boulevards form the edges and the through routes, giving each district a clear frame.
