Imbros Map Poster & Print
Imbros, called Gökçeada in Turkish, is Turkey's largest island and lies in the northern Aegean, west of the Gallipoli peninsula. Its outline is broad and compact, longer from east to west, with a hilly volcanic interior and a coastline of cliffs and sandy bays. Roads link a small number of villages spread across the uplands and valleys.
The island has a layered history. A long-established Greek community built old villages such as Zeytinliköy and Tepeköy, which still stand among the hills. The main town lies inland, while Kaleköy sits below a castle overlooking a harbour on the north coast. Ferries arrive at Kuzu Limanı on the eastern side.
An Imbros map poster shows the island's quiet, open character: a scattering of villages, a main road running from the east coast into the interior, and a long coastline of bays. In the southeast, a shallow salt lake behind a sandy shore stands out as a distinct shape. It is popular with windsurfers and kitesurfers.

Kaleköy and its castle
On the north coast, a small village gathers below the ruins of a castle, looking over a harbour. It adds a fine cluster of streets to the northern shoreline.
Hill villages
Old villages sit on inland slopes and ridges, joined by winding roads. Their small clusters are spread evenly across the island and give the poster a gentle, balanced texture.

Imbros means a great deal to families with roots in its villages, Greek and Turkish alike, and to visitors who return for its slow pace and open beaches. Its compact shape makes a thoughtful, understated print.
