Compact lanes
The town's streets and lanes form a close, irregular pattern, typical of settlements where shade and shelter matter in a hot climate.

Jālq Map Poster & Print
Jālq is a town in Sistan and Baluchestan, in south-eastern Iran, close to the border with Pakistan. The surrounding region is arid and mountainous, and settlements here depend on careful use of water, often from seasonal streams and traditional irrigation, to support date palms and small fields.
On a map, the town forms a compact cluster of streets and lanes, with the cultivated land around it appearing as irregular patches set against a much larger expanse of dry terrain. Roads lead out across the desert toward neighbouring towns, following valleys and the lower ground between hills.
A Jālq map poster shows a settlement defined by its relationship with water and land. The tight network of lanes, the soft outlines of palm groves and the long roads into open desert create a sparse, balanced composition. It is a quiet image of a place at the far eastern edge of Iran.
