Karthikappally Map Poster & Print
Karthikappally lies in Alappuzha district on Kerala's low coastal plain, a region shaped by water. The Arabian Sea is close to the west, and backwaters, canals and lagoons crisscross the land behind the coast. On a map, the settlement is less a compact town than a spread of houses and lanes among coconut groves, paddy fields and waterways.
Roads here often run alongside canals or on the raised strips between fields, so the street pattern follows the water. The main coastal highway runs through the area and gives the map a long north–south line. On either side, smaller lanes and channels make a fine, irregular mesh that is typical of the Kuttanad region's edges.
A Karthikappally map poster shows that interlaced landscape of land and water. The coastline, the canal lines and the scattered homes combine into a delicate print. For Malayalis living abroad, many of whom come from villages like this one, it is a very specific reminder of home.

Coastal highway
The main highway runs north to south through the area. It is the clearest straight line on the map, with the village spreading out on both sides.
Groves and paddy
Coconut groves and rice fields fill the land between houses. Their field edges and scattered settlement give the print a fine, even texture.
