Local roads wind across hills and between former farms, creating an irregular network of thin lines that fills the sheet without crowding it.

Killingly Center Map Poster & Print
Killingly Center is a community in the town of Killingly, in Windham County, north-eastern Connecticut. The area is often called the Quiet Corner. Like much of the region, it grew around water-powered mills in the nineteenth century. Today it is a mix of village streets, rural roads and woodland. On a map it has a soft, spread-out character rather than a single dense core.
Roads here follow old routes between farms and villages. They curve over low hills and around ponds and streams, forming irregular loops instead of a grid. Interstate 395 runs through the town of Killingly on a north–south line and adds one clearly modern stroke. In monochrome, the thin lines of local roads spread across a large, pale background of forest and field.
A Killingly Center map poster suits people who grew up in the area or have moved there for the space and the woods. It records a New England landscape at human scale: a web of roads, water and small settlements, drawn simply.

Ponds and streams
Small bodies of water and streams, once used to power the region's mills, add scattered organic shapes to the drawing.
Interstate line
Interstate 395 cuts a long, steady line north to south through Killingly, the one strongly engineered feature in an otherwise rural pattern.
