Hillside lanes
Roads run along the ridges and wrap around the hills, so the street pattern curves and forks rather than following any straight grid.

Kiziba Map Poster & Print
Kiziba lies in the Central Region of Uganda, west of Kampala, in the green, gently hilly country that surrounds the capital. From above there is no single centre. Houses and small plots spread over the hillsides, joined by a network of murram roads and footpaths that follow the ridges and dip into the valleys.
The land shapes the map here. Settlement occupies the higher ground, and the lower ground between the hills holds swampy valleys and streams that appear as open gaps. The result is a web-like pattern, dense in places and loose in others, typical of the fast-growing towns around Kampala.
A Kiziba map poster makes sense of this organic layout. Drawn in black and white, the many small lanes form a delicate lace across the frame, and the empty valleys give it a natural rhythm. It is a map of everyday routes rather than monuments.

Valley wetlands
The low ground between the hills stays mostly unbuilt, leaving winding open bands that break up the housing and structure the poster.
Dispersed settlement
Homes and gardens spread evenly across the area instead of clustering in one core, giving the map a fine, uniform texture.

The poster is for people who grew up on these hillsides, or for Ugandans abroad who want the roads of home on the wall. It shows the familiar walks and shortcuts, not a tourist view.
Add a title, a family name or a date, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9 without a watermark, or order a printed matte poster, with an optional wooden frame.
