Dense town core
Narrow lanes and closely built blocks form a tight centre. At poster scale it becomes a small, intricate mass of lines surrounded by open space.

Kosigi Map Poster & Print
Kosigi is in the Kurnool district of western Andhra Pradesh, on the dry uplands of the Deccan plateau. The town is compact. Its streets cluster tightly around the centre and then open quickly into the rural roads that link the surrounding villages. On a map, that makes a dense knot with thin lines running out in several directions.
The land around it is mostly flat farmland, with rocky outcrops typical of this part of the plateau. There are no large rivers or coastlines to organise the plan, so the roads and the railway do that work. The result is a practical, road-driven pattern that shows how the town connects to the region around it.
A Kosigi map poster shows this in its simplest form: a closely packed core, radiating roads and a lot of open ground. It is a modest subject, and that is part of its appeal. The map shows the shape of an ordinary working town without decoration.

Radiating village roads
Roads leave town toward neighbouring settlements across the plateau. They give the composition a star-like structure that is easy to read from a distance.
Open plateau land
Wide areas of farmland and scrub surround the town with almost no mapped features. That emptiness frames the settlement and conveys the scale of the Deccan landscape.
