Main road corridor
The town's densest streets follow the highway, so the poster is built around one strong line with the rest of the settlement branching away from it.

Kuju Map Poster & Print
Kuju is a town in Ramgarh district, Jharkhand, in the coal-producing belt of the Chota Nagpur Plateau. From above it has a linear shape: much of its built-up area lines the main road running through it, with shorter lanes branching off to housing and small settlements on either side.
Mining has shaped the land around the town, and that shows clearly on a map. Colliery areas, rail sidings and haul roads form patches of a different texture from the residential streets, and they are surrounded by fields, scrubland and scattered villages. The result is a map where the town reads as a narrow band of density crossing a wide and open landscape.
A Kuju map poster is an unusual and honest portrait of an industrial place. Instead of an old town or a waterfront, it shows a settlement arranged around roads and work, a pattern shared by many coalfield towns in eastern India but with an outline that belongs only to this one.

Coalfield landscape
Mining areas and their access tracks appear as distinct shapes beside the housing, a reminder of the industry that has defined this part of Jharkhand.
Plateau countryside
Beyond the town the map opens into fields and small villages spread across the plateau, giving the design generous empty space around its centre.

Families connected to the coal industry often move between towns, and a map of Kuju can mark where a parent worked or where someone grew up. It is a personal record that no souvenir shop would sell.
Add a family name, a year or your own message in the title and subtitle, adjust the coordinates line and choose from five styles. Printed posters ship from partners in over 30 countries, or download the files for $9.
