Kyurdarmir Map Poster & Print
Kyurdarmir (Kürdəmir) is the centre of Kurdamir District in central Azerbaijan. It sits on the low, level ground of the Shirvan plain, part of the wide lowland drained by the Kura river. With almost no relief to bend them, the streets run in a fairly regular pattern, and the land around town is divided into long, rectangular plots.
The railway linking Baku with the west of the country passes through the town, and on a map it shows as a firm straight line against the softer street grid. Irrigation channels and field edges extend the geometry outwards, so the whole sheet has a measured, almost drafted look.
