Compact street grid
The settlement is laid out in a small, regular grid. Against the open desert it reads as a crisp, clearly bounded shape.

La Breita Map Poster & Print
La Breita is in the Piura region, in the arid north-west of Peru, where the coastal desert stretches between the Pacific and the foothills of the Andes. From above, the settlement stands out clearly against the pale, open ground. A modest grid of streets forms its core, and the edges fade into sand, scrub and dry land.
In this part of Peru, the landscape is shaped by dry ravines, known locally as quebradas, which are usually empty but can carry water in unusually wet years. On a map, they appear as branching lines across the desert, the only natural features that break up the wide, flat terrain around the settlement.
A La Breita map poster makes the most of this stark setting: a small, clear pattern of streets set in a large expanse of empty space. With so little around it, the settlement's layout becomes a strong graphic shape on its own.

Desert surroundings
Dry, open land stretches in every direction, leaving wide empty areas on the poster that give the streets a strong sense of place.
Dry ravines
Quebradas cross the land around the settlement, branching lines that show where water flows in the rare wet seasons of Peru's northern coast.

For families from La Breita and anyone with ties to the Piura coast, the map is a distinctive keepsake: a small place given a precise, careful portrait. The strong contrast of streets and desert makes a striking wall piece.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, in Spanish or English, and choose from five styles. The Sand style suits the desert especially well. The $9 digital files include six print sizes with no watermark.
