Roadside settlement
Houses and shops line the main roads, so the built-up area follows long, thin strips across the map.

Laguilayan Map Poster & Print
Laguilayan is a community in the province of Sultan Kudarat, in the Soccsksargen region of southern Mindanao in the Philippines. It lies in lowland farming country, where rice and corn fields, streams and scattered settlements make up most of the landscape. From above, the built-up area is modest, arranged along roads rather than around a single dense centre.
The main roads carry most of the houses and shops, and smaller lanes lead off them to homes and fields. Around the settlement the land is divided into irregular farm plots, crossed by irrigation ditches and small streams. The pattern is loose and practical, shaped by agriculture more than by planning.
A Laguilayan map poster keeps things simple and honest. It shows the roads, the lanes and the surrounding fields, without inventing landmarks that are not there. The result is a calm, spacious print where the lines of the community stand out against the open farmland of the lowlands.

Farm plots
Rice and corn fields surround the community in irregular shapes, creating a quiet, patchwork texture around the roads.
Streams and ditches
Small waterways and irrigation channels cross the lowland, adding thin, winding lines between the fields.
