Thames River shore
The broad tidal Thames runs along the town's western edge. It gives the map a strong band of water, with Gales Ferry's streets gathered along its bank.

Ledyard Map Poster & Print
Ledyard is a town in New London County in southeastern Connecticut. Most of it is woodland, with farm clearings and houses set along winding roads. There is no single dense downtown. On the map, the road network looks like a loose web of rural routes linking small villages, and Gales Ferry sits along the western edge.
The Thames River forms that western boundary, a wide tidal channel that gives the poster its most prominent line of water. Ponds and brooks are scattered through the woods. Ledyard is also home to the Mashantucket Pequot Reservation and its Foxwoods Resort Casino, whose large complex and approach roads stand out against the otherwise low-density countryside.
A Ledyard map poster reflects the quieter side of coastal Connecticut. It is a landscape of woods, old stone-walled lanes and river frontage, only a short distance from the shipyards and naval facilities around Groton and New London. It suits long-time residents, navy families who were stationed nearby, and anyone who knows these roads well.

Country road web
Narrow roads wander between woods and fields. Few run straight, and together they form a fine, irregular network typical of rural New England.
Mashantucket lands
The Mashantucket Pequot Reservation and Foxwoods occupy part of the town. The resort's large footprint and access roads contrast with the scattered houses around it.
