Dense old core
The centre of town is a close weave of narrow lanes and small blocks, the most intricate part of the poster and the heart of daily market life.

Lingsugūr Map Poster & Print
Lingsugūr is the headquarters of a taluk in Raichur district, in the north-east of Karnataka. It sits on the Deccan plateau, a broad, mostly dry upland of red and black soils, scattered rock outcrops and farmland. The town's map is compact, with a dense older core of narrow lanes and wider roads leading outward to villages across the plain.
The taluk is known well beyond the region for the Hutti gold mines, among the few working gold mines in India. It also contains the old fort town of Mudgal, whose walls recall the long contest for this part of the Deccan between rival kingdoms. Lingsugūr itself grew as an administrative and market centre for the surrounding villages.
A Lingsugūr map poster draws the town as it sits on the plateau: a tight knot of streets, main roads radiating outward and the pale, open land beyond. It is a restrained portrait of a small Deccan town, well suited to anyone who grew up here or keeps family ties to Raichur district.

Radiating roads
Main roads leave the centre in several directions towards neighbouring towns and villages, giving the map a clear structure around its busy middle.
Plateau surroundings
Open farmland and dry upland surround the town, so the poster places Lingsugūr as a defined settlement on the wide Deccan plain.
