Llaillay Map Poster & Print
Llaillay lies in the Valparaíso region of central Chile, in the valley of the Aconcagua river system. From above, the town sits on flat valley ground between ranges of hills, with the main highway and railway corridors passing alongside. Streets form a fairly regular grid, bounded by farmland and the slopes rising on either side.
The town grew as a railway junction on the historic line between Valparaíso and Santiago, where a branch headed up the valley toward Los Andes. That history still shows on the map in the rail lines that cross the area. Today the valley around Llaillay is largely agricultural, with orchards and vineyards on the level ground.
A Llaillay map poster shows how geography and transport shaped a small Chilean town: the narrow valley, the corridors of road and rail, and the grid tucked between hills. In a minimal style, the contour of the valley gives the composition a clear, natural frame.

Rail junction legacy
Railway lines cross the town, a reminder of its role as a junction between Valparaíso, Santiago and the branch up the valley to Los Andes.
Surrounding hills
Hills rise on both sides of the valley, closing the map in and giving the town a sheltered, contained shape.
