Ma’anshan Map Poster & Print
Ma’anshan lies in eastern Anhui on the east bank of the Yangtze, just upstream from Nanjing. The city grew rapidly from the 1950s around a large iron and steel works, and the map still shows the logic of that growth: broad planned avenues, big industrial parcels near the river, and residential districts arranged in regular blocks. Between them, small lakes and hills break up the grid.
At the southwestern edge of the city, the Caishi headland rises above the Yangtze. It is one of the best-known scenic spots on the lower river, associated with the Tang poet Li Bai, who according to legend drowned here reaching for the moon’s reflection in the water. On a map it appears as a green bulge of high ground pressing against the river.
A Ma’anshan map poster balances industry and landscape: the straight lines of the planned city set against the soft outlines of lakes, hills and the great river. It makes a fitting choice for people who grew up around the steelworks, or for anyone drawn to the stories of Li Bai and the Yangtze.

Caishi headland
A wooded rise pressed against the river and long associated with Li Bai, it is one of the few places where high ground meets the Yangtze directly.
Yushan Lake
An irregular lake sits within the urban core, ringed by streets and parkland, a soft open shape among the city's regular planned blocks.

Industrial cities are often overlooked, yet their maps can be the most graphic of all. Ma’anshan’s planned avenues, lakes and riverfront make a strong design for a hallway, study or office, and it carries real meaning for families whose lives were tied to the steelworks.
