Mākum Map Poster & Print
Mākum is a town in the Tinsukia district of Upper Assam, in the far northeast of India. It grew up as a railway junction in a region known for tea and coal, and those two things still shape its map. Rail lines converge on the town, and the streets gather around the station area and the main road.
Around the built-up area, the land is taken up by tea estates, whose regular rows and gardens form broad patches between settlements. Streams and rivers flowing down from the eastern hills cross the plain, and villages sit along the roads that link Mākum with Tinsukia, Margherita and the surrounding district.
A Mākum map poster shows a town defined by connections. The long lines of the railway give the drawing a strong structure, the streets fill in around them, and the rural land beyond adds space. It is a modest but distinctive composition, meaningful for those who grew up in Upper Assam.

Tea garden belt
Tea estates surround the town and fill large parts of the map, a reminder of the industry that defines this part of Assam.
River plain
Streams from the eastern hills wind across the flat land around Mākum. Their soft curves contrast with the straight rail and road lines.
