Magdalena River edge
Colombia's principal river runs along the eastern side of the municipality, a broad channel that dominates the composition and explains the flat, low-lying land on which the town was built.

Malambo Map Poster & Print
Malambo sits on the low Caribbean plain of Atlántico, just south of Soledad and Barranquilla, where the ground barely rises above the level of the Magdalena River. On a map the town reads as a tight network of residential blocks laid out along a few main roads, with the river's broad channel and its low marshy margins forming the eastern edge of the municipality.
The name carries weight among archaeologists. Excavations here gave it to the Malambo tradition, one of the early ceramic cultures of northern Colombia, whose pottery points to long settlement along the lower Magdalena. Today the town belongs to the metropolitan area of Barranquilla, and its street pattern shows it: dense neighbourhoods that press against the neighbouring municipality and thin out toward open fields.
A Malambo map poster keeps that relationship between settled ground and water. Fine lines trace the residential grid, heavier strokes pick out the main arteries toward the city, and the river appears as a wide pale band. Rendered in black and white, the layout becomes a quiet study of how a riverside town grows along the edge of a larger metropolis.

Residential grid
Blocks of roughly regular size fill the urban area, crossed by a handful of longer roads. At poster scale they form an even, finely woven texture.
Metropolitan links
Main roads lead north toward Soledad and Barranquilla, showing how closely Malambo is tied to the larger city and its airport district.
